Christmas Houses

Christmas Houses

I made painted and decorated these Christmas houses for my “annual” Christmas craft get together. It’s really an excuse for the ladies in the family to spend some time with one another and chat, laugh and snack! Actually, there is minimal crafting happening, but, everyone takes home a craft! These were pretty simple to make! I was inspired by this photo from Pottery Barn.

supplies

Unfinished Townhouse Birdhouse (This is a pack of 8. It is a better deal through Michael’s Online)

Dap Joint Compound

Dollhouse Miniature Lights

Miniature Street Lights

Miniature Christmas Items

White and red paint (I had the white paint on hand)

Glitter Blast

tools

RYOBI Cordless Glue Gun

2″ Wooster Paint Brush (my favorite)

instructions

  1. Lightly sand the birdhouses for smooth finish

Apply the drywall compound on the roof and other areas to give the appearance of snow. Let dry.

Paint! I sprayed the houses because I had many. But, these can easily be hand painted.

I handprinted the window frames and door handles.

Decorate the house!

Spray with Glitter Blast!
