I heard solving jigsaw puzzles improve your short term memory and visual spatial reasoning. And, problem solving skills and IQ improve as a result. I verified this on the internet so it must be true. So, sign me up!
I have to say I cherry pick my puzzles. I tend toward puzzles that shy away from a lot of a single color or pattern or puzzle pieces that are too small. I happened upon a vintage “travel” puzzle by Cavallini & Co Papers a couple of years ago and these puzzles ticked the box on how I enjoy puzzles. The patterns many times have a small puzzle within the puzzle. The pieces are larger and I love the vintage vibes! I have framed a few of them and they make cute decor.
These are some of my favorite 1000 piece puzzles. (I haven’t done the Tarot Card one yet, but, that’s next on my list.) I’ve done several 500 piece puzzles. These tend to be holiday puzzles though and I will do another post. I see they have a Christmas one I haven’t done yet! Links are below the photos. (I think you can get many of these on Amazon.
