Baby Shower Welcome Sign

Baby Shower Welcome Sign

Baby shower decor! It’s so fun to create! This welcome sign was my DIY contribution to my niece’s baby shower. I was so sorry to miss it, but happy to add to the decor! The sign stand was originally made for my son’s wedding shower a couple of weeks earlier. This blogpost has the details on how that was made.

Acrylic

I purchased the 24 x 36 frosted acrylic at Menards for ~ $40. It was $7 less than the piece I got at Home Depot for the last sign. I am still looking for a better source for the acrylic.

Lettering

I used the Cricut to make the letters. I used the same fonts as the last sign — Annie Leu and Brewery No 2 Paneuropean Medium (One less decision to make and I loved them.) I purchased the vinyl at Michael’s. (I had a gift card.)

Moulds

I purchased the moulds from Etsy and Michaels. I had a hard time finding ”baby themed” moulds at the right scale for the sign. So, the baby feet were the ones that worked best. I used hot glue to create the flowers and baby feet, painted them white and adhered them with E6000. The hot glue dries quickly and I found it to be more affordable than resin.

Such a fun project. The second sign went more quickly than the first sign. Lessons learned!
