It was so fun to think creatively when pulling together the decor for this adorable living room! In my last post, I shared information on the flooring and base moulding. Let’s take a look at the rest of the details.
Paint
The walls/ceiling are painted Sherwin Williams Alabaster and the base/ case mouldings and stairs are painted Sherwin Williams Alpaca. The spindles are Behr Limousine Leather. I had all colors on hand. So, no additional purchase!
Lighting
I got inspiration from a Serena & Lily light fixture. I’ve seen it in the homes of many of my favorite DIYers too! I used a small Christmas Ornament (stolen from my sister!) And, a gold marker and added the honeycomb detail. This wasn’t as difficult as I thought it might be. I used an eye hook to attach to the ceiling.
The light above the silhouettes is made from a miniature chair leg. It is glued to a button and glued to the wall.
The table lamp is a small glass bottle from the Dollar Tree, used for crafting. There is a straw cut to size going from the bottle and attaching the lamp shade. The lamp shade is a travel size shampoo bottle lid, covered in twine.
Apart from the small glass bottle and chair legs, I had the other supplies on hand.
Wall Art
The silhouettes are images from a gift, reduced in size and printed out. The images were glued to wood chip board and framed with vinyl, cut with the Cricut.
The art above the couch is an image snagged from the internet and sized to fit the scale of the room. It was framed out using craft sticks from Hobby Lobby.
Furniture
The couch and chair are from a local antique store and reupholstered with fabric scraps.
The end table is made from a vintage spool, medicine bottle lid and sprayed black!
The dining table/chairs were purchased at Hobby Lobby and painted blue (same color as the kitchen cabinets).
The coffee table is a craft box from the Dollar Tree. It was painted, stained and beads serve and table legs.
Plants
The pot, from the potted plant, is a lid from a hair product bottle. And, the plant is a succulent purchased from the Dollar Tree.
The vase, on the table, is a lid from a cosmetic product. I added some small ”gems” and bits of flowers purchased at Goodwill. Simple!
Pillows and Throws
The throw is from scrap fabric purchased at Hobby Lobby. The same fabric is used for bedding. The throw pillows are pom poms. I had them on hand!
I just love how this all turned out!
