In my research, I consistently saw a bulky cotton or wool knitted blanket. It really added to the coziness and texture.

DIY PILLOW COVERS
Instead of shopping for new pillows, repurpose fabric you already have. I turned an old sweater and leftover fabric into pillow covers that fit right into the Neutral Noël vibe. The chunky texture and soft tones bring depth without the cost. I also used a pillow (teal) I already had as the insert.
