This little outdoor side table is a great project to attempt for beginning builders! (That’s me!) My daughter found these plans from rogueengineer.com and they were simple to follow! This was the second table like this and I learned something each time.
For this table, I used cedar. It’s a bit more expensive, but I wanted something more durable for outdoors. I worked my way through the cut list. The only thing I would do differently, would be to cut the planks for the top and bottom shelves after the frame of the table is built for an exact measurement. I cut these beforehand and in the end, needed to trim them down to fit.
I did some light sanding and got to work making pocket holes and assembly! It took just over an hour to put together.
I used Rymar wood sealer to protect the wood. My son had a gallon with plenty left over so I used it. It’s also the same sealer I used on the window box and the Little Free Library.
I am really happy with how it turned out!
