Christmas 2025 is looking a little shinier this year! If you love a little sparkle but hate waste, this trend is for you. I’m calling it Silver Bells & Mirror Balls — a glam, disco-inspired Christmas look you can create using old ornaments, forgotten décor, and a little creative reuse.
WHAT I STARTED WITH
I had a mini Christmas tree I’ve owned for years, and a vintage Santa that hadn’t made it out of storage lately. Both were well-loved… but feeling a little “meh.” Instead of buying new, I gave them a second chance with shimmer.
HOW I MADE IT PRETTY AGAIN
Tree Glow-Up:
Added mini disco balls that I turned ornaments
Glammed up the base with mirrored tiles, rhinestones and Rub n Buff
Sprinkled in silver ribbon, pieces of pics from Hobby Lobby
Santa Makeover:
Trimmed his coat with mirrored tiles and rhinestones
Tucked tiny disco balls into his gift sack
Added a modern sparkle without losing his vintage charm
Tip: Don’t overthink it — silver, mirrors, and sparkle go with everything.
WHAT YOU CAN USE
Broken disco balls or mirrored ornaments
Costume jewelry (clip-on earrings make amazing tree accents)
Old tree skirts or fabric scraps in metallics
Leftover party supplies (mirrored confetti, drink stirrers, etc.)
Sparkly holiday pics, cut up for ornaments!
Ribbon from estate sales!
