Tomato Aspic | Family Tradition Recipe

This is my Aunt Lois’s recipe. She made this on Thanksgiving and Christmas for my Dad. The recipe card is in her writing. #bless

Tomato Aspic

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Knox unflavored Gelatine
  • 1 3/4 C Tomato juice, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon Tabasco (Aunt Lois used 3 – 4 drops)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions

  1. Sprinkle melon 1/2 C tomato juice to soften in small pan
  2. Place over medium heat and stir until gel is dissolved
  3. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1 1/4C juice and seasonings
  4. Turn into mold and chill until firm
