This easy black bean salsa is fresh, colorful, and always a crowd-pleaser. It takes just a few minutes to make and works perfectly as an appetizer with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled chicken, or salads.
Ingredients
- 1 jar mild salsa
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Fresh cilantro, chopped, to taste
Instructions
1. Pour the salsa into a medium serving bowl.
2. Add the drained and rinsed black beans.
3. Stir in the chopped red pepper and scallions.
4. Add the lime juice and cilantro.
5. Stir everything together until well combined.
6. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
7. Serve chilled with tortilla chips.
Notes
For the best flavor, make the salsa at least 30 minutes before serving so the ingredients have time to blend together.
The amount of cilantro is completely up to you. Start with a small handful and add more as desired.
