Gift giving is one of my favorite things to do and thoughtful gifts are my favorites to give! Over the years, I’ve made some several gifts for family and friends that were so fun to give and receive. Below are some of my favorite gifts put together with love!
T SHIRT QUILT
My son, Kevin, was an avid baseball player from a young age through college. He had a large collection of t-shirts from his baseball teams sitting in his closet. Last Christmas, I pieced together the t-shirts and had it quilted. For more details, here is the T Shirt Quilt blogpost.
JERSEY DISPLAY
Another great idea for any athlete is creating a display for a favorite team jersey. I found this jersey case at an estate sale for $10 but these are available at Hobby Lobby as well. And, always buy on sale or with the 40% coupon! Hobby Lobby can frame the jersey for you. I did this myself and was happy with how it turned out. My son loved it too!
SIGNATURE FURNITURE PIECE
My nephew, Bobby, is an author or children’s books and didn’t have a desk to do his writing. I found this awesome drafting table at an estate sale for $30. I refinished it and added a glass top. Bobby uses this table/desk to do his writing. Check out this Blogpost for more details!
CREATIVE CHILDREN’S GIFTS
My god daughter, Rowan, and her brother, Anderson, are super creative and love to play make believe and build. Check out this Blogpost for more gift ideas for creative kids!
FAMILY HEIRLOOMS
We came upon some family documents from the late 1800’s. I had them framed for each of my sisters for an extra special gift. This one below is my great grandmother’s high school diploma from 1887!
Hope these ideas give you some inspiration as we head into Christmas!
Happy creating and giving!
